Detroit Flats — The Sound Of The Motor-City

Specially wound and polished, Elites Detroit flatwound sets are becomingly increasingly popular amongst players looking for a super-smooth playing experience and a balanced, deep, pounding tone.

Great for fretless instruments, they reduce wear on the fingerboard and produce a mellower, upright bass sound. On a fretted bass, you'll get less finger-noise and string-click and a warmer, richer bass tone.

Available in matched gauge 4 and 5 string sets

Ridiculously versatile, Elites Detroit Flats are equally well-suited for driving rhythm 'n' blues, rumbling punk funk, bass heavy trip-hop and deep reggae grooves... not to mention James Jamerson inspired melodic soul lines or Iron Maiden-style galloping metal.

I love these strings. They maintain excellent tone and intonation. The service the Bass Centre provides is second to none. Keep up the good work lads and stay safe.

Love these flat wounds...

My Detroit bass came equipped with Elites Detroit Flatwound Series strings, which is my main reason for purchasing my bass.

I love the warm thump these strings produce and they really give you an authentic "old school" tone.

Nice warm tone!

As the title say these string have a really nice warm tone, I have them on my Overwater Perception fretless and they just sing! One downside is the low B is a little short for the 35" scale and the bindings on the string come just past the nut, seemed strange as the other strings are more than adequate.
