"THESE BRILLIANT INSTRUMENTS ARE A STEAL AT THIS PRICE POINT... IN FACT IT'S HARD TO THINK OF ANY BASS RANGE THAT OFFERS SO MUCH QUALITY FOR SO LITTLE MONEY" — JAZZWISE MAGAZINE

The Motown inspired Bass Collection Detroit Bass is fast becoming a legend in its own right.

A truly soulful little number, strung with Elites flatwound strings and sporting a wealth of eye-catching, cool retro features, the Detroit is our tribute to the classic sounds of Hitsville, USA and to the Motor City's premier funk brother and all-star bass supremo, James Jamerson.

The light-weight, contoured body, satin finish neck profile and Bass Centre Detroit Flats make for a super smooth ride, but it's the sound that will really grab you - a pleasingly authentic, rich low end, stacks of grit and growl, and a lively, articulate midrange punch, equally perfect for upfront, struttin' funk, the sweetest soul or the greasiest rhythm 'n' blues.

This punches above its weight. I recently did a TV & film theme big band concert where we played a lot from the 60's and 70's... used this bass and it was spot on sound-wise.
