Lakland's Skyline 44-02 Deluxe is a direct descendant of their original 4-94, which changed the way many of us perceive electric bass guitars. Between the select southern swamp ash body wood, the deluxe quilted maple top, the birdseye maple fingerboard, the custom-wound Lakland pickups and the internal Lakland preamp, this bass stands to be one hell of a groove, slap and pop monster.
The pickups and onboard preamp of the Skyline 44-02 are the same configuration found on Lakland's US-made 4-94. And, the electronics are powered by a single 9-volt battery that can be changed by removing a simple snap-on battery cover - no screws to lose! The Skyline 44-02 has the active punch that will drive your sound clearly through any mix, but is also subtle and refined to fit well into any playing situation.
