Upgrade to Babicz for Full Contact

The Babicz Full Contact Hardware system is available on all applicable Bass Collection models as either standard issue or as an optional upgrade. As the name implies, this revolutionary new approach to bridge technology ensures full contact between the vibrating string and the body of the instrument, maximising sustain and tonal response. Courtesy of its patented eCam saddle technology, the Babicz design also provides enhanced stability and fully lockable, precision adjustment for string height and intonation.

Alternatively, you can choose to upgrade your brand new Bass Collection instrument with a classic Leo Quan Badass Bass II or hyper-modern Hipshot KickAss™ hi-mass bridge.

Get Active with EMG™ Pickups

EMG low impedance pickups are available as a premium upgrade to all Bass Collection Jive models, fully installed and set-up to perfection in the Bass Centre's in-house workshop.

The original EMG active J pickup set retains all the hallmarks of the classic jazz bass sound whilst adding a broader tonal range that will add new dimensions and clarity to your playing. EMGs' low resistance to inductance ratio increases the low end response, while the carefully radiused ceramic bar magnet helps to deliver a tightly focused mid-range with a crisp, lively and dynamic high end response.

Whether you play fretted or fretless, live or in the studio, you'll experience an incredibly full sound, with sweeping harmonic overtones, enhanced punch and super-quiet operation, free of hum and buzz.

Absolutely Stunning
20 August 2016  |

First of all, the customer service at The Bass Centre is fantastic. Katie was able to answer every ridiculous question I asked and was quick and courteous in doing so.

Now, the bass. Beautiful finish (China White) with great set-up right out of the box. I lowered the action to my usual taste and still can't make it buzz. The p/ups are nice and transparent with just enough mid-range growl.

I believe I paid a mere $480 USD (including shipping!) and must say no other J on the market I've played can compare when it comes to this bass' playability. Electronics are always a more subjective issue, but I see no reason to replace the stock set-up.

All this, and the bass made it to the Nashville area in less than a week... Customer for life.
