At last! A replacement for the legendary BadAss II Bass Bridge.
Whilst Leo Quan products are temporarily out of production, the clever chaps at Allparts in the USA have introduced the Omega Bass Bridge, which looks like, fits like... and sustains just like the original classic design.
The Omega is a precision-made, direct replacement bridge for 4-string Fender basses with a 2.25" string spacing and "vintage-style" 5-hole mounting pattern. *
This hi-density unit - manufactured from die-cast zinc, with a choice of finishes - is engineered to improve sound transfer and provide enhanced attack, sustain and clarity of notes, without altering the instrument's fundamental tone.
Additionally, the design allows for more accurate harmonic tuning compared with traditional "roller" saddles and eliminates any unwanted side movement of strings and bridge saddles for the purest tone/sound transfer possible.
It is advised that this unslotted version be slotted by a reliable guitar technician, to achieve the proper string break-angle and the optimal string-to-pole piece alignment.
* Please note: Newer, American-made Fenders - roughly 2003 to present - feature a 3-hole system.
