The Flea bass comes in a range of 4 super-cool colours, all with matching headstock (complete with Flea signature) and screw-free scratchplate. Every bass comes with a deluxe Fleabass gig bag, Fleabass strap and an instructional Fleabass DVD featuring Flea himself.

About the Fleabass
Following in the style of his beloved Musicman basses, the Fleabass also sports a single passive humbucker, controlled by single volume and tone controls. The position of the pickup gives the bass a surprisingly varied range of sounds - from classic Musicman punch to growly Fender Jazz bass sounds - ideal for grungey old school funk to smooth, rounded dub sounds....everything you'd expect to get from the punk-funk bass master!

The unique high mass 'strings through body' bridge gives the bass great sustain and along with the solid Alder body and Maple neck, the bass has natural deep lows with a zingy top end.

Playability
With the slim, narrow Jazz style neck and satin finish, young hands in particular will find the Fleabass very easy to play.

Don't expect banana necks or mile high strings either....Flea promises that "If they don't play great, they're not going to the stores. We'll set up every bass and make sure it's perfect".

Flea's mission
"Our single goal at Fleabass, is to provide to young people something to fall in love with, that families can afford and also to be a company that can sustain itself over a long period of time. Fleabass is not a licensed product, each bass will be made with care and thoroughly checked for quality. We take pride in each instrument - it is our steadfast intention to make an inexpensive bass guitar that is not a cheap toy that breaks and has lousy intonation, and has awkward action, like so many cheap basses I have encountered with young music students but is a serious instrument that plays beautifully and that will only get better with time and looks as cool as hell".
